Frenchie's again and other dining out
We had several different food experiences last week so I thought I'd combine them in one post. Wednesday night we returned to Frenchie's Wine Bar which we've decided is our favorite Paris restaurant. We also discovered that it's easy to get a good table on a drizzly weeknight (and it probably helped that it was Halloween!). We sat at a table overlooking the kitchen and it was great fun to watch the food preparation. Here is what we ate: Burrata with apple, squash, miso and candied almonds. We've seen burrata on a number of menus and tried it a few times since we've been in Paris and this was the best combination. The standout dish we ate was cauliflower and broccoli tempura with horseradish aioli. The horseradish aioli added a spicy note to the dish. It was so good we almost ordered a second serving!
